The Open Research Sub-Hub at Garissa University serves as a vital extension of the Digital Hub for Open Research in East Africa. Through a five-module digital learning program, researchers enhance their ability to utilize open research tools effectively. The sub-hub also facilitates peer discussions on regional challenges, encouraging innovative solutions through transparent research practices. Additionally, local training programs and open science projects, supported by small grants, help bridge the gap between theory and practice. By integrating open research methodologies, Garissa University strengthens its role as a center for inclusive and accessible knowledge, empowering young scholars to engage in impactful, collaborative research.
